Mary Emma serves as the senior director of communications and strategic planning for the Pet Food Institute (PFI). In her current role, Mary Emma is responsible for creating and overseeing PFI’s public relations initiatives, including media outreach programs, social media and other digital content strategies, and managing deployment of the association’s strategic plan.
Prior to joining PFI, Mary Emma served as the communications and marketing director for CropLife America, the national trade association for the crop protection industry. In this role, Mary Emma secured national and trade media coverage, created website content and managed the creation of essential organization materials, including annual reports and brochures. She also previously served as a senior account executive at The Wade Group, Inc.
Mary Emma received her bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Currently, she lives in Washington, D.C. with her dogs Maddie and Pepper. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dogs, cooking, spending time with friends and visiting her hometown of Baltimore.
