The Pet Food Institute (PFI) thanks the broad and bipartisan coalition of members of Congress, as well as President Biden, for helping the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act become law. The Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers (PAWS) for Veterans Therapy Act recognizes the proven benefits of the human-animal bond and provides our country’s veterans with access to trained service dogs for valuable mental health support. PFI welcomes the continued actions by lawmakers to help find sound policy solutions that advance the human-animal bond and support the people who need it most, including servicemembers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
